Functional Resume Sample

A sample functional (skill-based) resume

The following is an example of a functional resume. It is intended to give the reader an idea of the format that might be used for such a resume. In most cases you should use the chronological resume format. However; there are some situations where a functional resume may work better for you. For example, if you have a very limited employment history, you got additional education and are changing career paths, most of your skills come from doing things outside a work setting, and other situations where your work history doesn't adequately represent the value you would bring to an organization or the career path you are pursuing. Try to keep your resume to two pages.

Feel free to copy and paste this resume into your favorite word processor as a starting point. You may need to adjust the page break, spacing or font to make it fit properly. Also, don't be afraid to add additional information not found here or change some of the headings to make your resume more relevant to the job you are applying for.
